Rock n Rugby 3^rd/4^th July

This will be the fourth year that the legendary Stormers coach and Rugby personality John Dobson takes over as the conductor of a Karoo Art Hotel weekend for a program of his choice. This years Rock n Rugby themed weekend promises to be the best yet.

Friday 3 July

The Rock element comes via a Friday night performance by Rock legend Arno Carstens of Springbok Nude Girls fame. This following a kick off in the Karoo Art bar with a real Springbok Bomb Squad dispensing Steven Kitshoff’s Bomb Squad laager; your beer pourers being Springbok legends Deon Fourie, Frans Malherbe and Scarra Ntebeni. After Arno Carstens it’ll be over to DJ Kali to take the night away.

Saturday 4 July

You’re advised to take it slow on Saturday morning as big things are to come in the afternoon. Try the local market.

The pre SA/England test buildup features a panel boasting those same Springbok legends you met in the bar the night before but chaired by John Dobson in a high level strategic download of things to come. The SA/ENGLAND game happens and the same panel of Fourie, Malherbe, Ntebeni and Dobson will return for a halftime review. The test is followed by the same comedian / magician who brought the house down last year; Peter G.

A short dinner break follows and on come Dobbo’s favorite band , five piece Sunset Sweatshop.
