ABOUT

Finding Love After Rupture: A 3-day immersion in the Lost Art of Relationship Repair

with international thought leader James 'Fish' Gill

27/28/29 November 2026, daily 9am-4pm

Venue: The Barn, Jardim Farm, 3 Rosalyn Rd, Noordhoek, Cape Town, South Africa

Most relationships don't fail because people stop loving each other. They struggle because, when love inevitably meets disappointment, fear and hurt, very few of us know how to repair. Over three transformative days, one of the world's leading Relationship Repair Coaches, James 'Fish' Gill, will guide you into a radically different way of relating, one that replaces blame with curiosity, certainty with understanding, and recurring conflict with deeper intimacy.

This is more than a relationship retreat, it is an invitation to utterly shift the way you relate to yourself and those you love in the most painful moments of your life. Through experiential practices, live coaching, guided reflection and meaningful connection with others, you'll learn the lost art of relationship repair: how to navigate conflict without losing each other, offer accountability without shame, respond to hurt with compassion, and create relationships built not on perfection, but on the courage to find one another again and again.

Whether you come alone or with a partner, you'll leave with a way of relating that has the power to change every relationship in your life.

WHO THIS IS FOR:

This is for everybody with a human heart. If you are finding yourself getting stuck in arguing, hurts and frustrations with a partner, kids, family or colleagues, and no matter what you do you can’t find your way through, then this 3-day masterclass is for you. If you are a counsellor, leader, facilitator, coach or mentor, you will expand your skillset tremendously.

Finding Love After Rupture is a rare in-person opportunity to learn how to grow connection, safety, understanding and intimacy in any relationship no matter what shape it is in presently. The skills you will learn will enable you to navigate your current conflicts and upsets to find a deeper, more fulfilling way of relating.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Under the guidance of a highly experienced repair facilitator, you’ll learn how to:

  • EXPRESS your unmet needs skilfully, in ways that invite others to stay present and open
  • HEAR and tend to the unmet needs of others, behind their accusations and complaints
  • REPAIR unresolved hurts from the past so you can find peace and hope for the future
  • DEEPEN the sense of care and intimacy between you and those you cherish most
  • RESOLVE day to day conflicts skilfully as they arise, so that no resentments linger
  • CREATE and maintain healthy boundaries to help you feel safe, self-respecting and resentment-free

EVENT DATES AND TIMES

The masterclass runs over 3 days in November 2026. Participants are required to attend all hours across all three days:

  • 9am to 4pm Friday 27th November
  • 9am to 4pm Saturday 28th November
  • 9am to 4pm Sunday 29th November

WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE

We will practice revolutionary communication tools, and nervous system regulation techniques, to enable you to stay present in the face of relationship rupture and grow deep understanding with those you cherish most. Our group practices and supported discussions will leave you excited to tackle the difficult conversations you’ve never known how to have. You’ll feel greater confidence and peace in relating to all others, even in tender moments of conflict.

A SAFE SPACE FOR LIMITED PARTICIPANTS

The masterclass will be an 18-hour program (across three days) of teaching and direct instruction, personal reflection, pair work and group work. Space is limited to 30 participants. Both singles (partnered or un-partnered) and couples are welcome. Given our different comfort levels with sharing the most tender aspects of our relational hurts, participants are supported to engage with the teaching processes only to the extent to which each feels comfortable in any moment.

LOCATION

Our retreat will be held in the beautiful and comfortable Barn at Jardim Family Farm, situated in Noordhoek.

I WANT TO SHOW YOU HOW

For 17 years I’ve had the privilege of supporting humans from all walks of life through the fire of conflict and guiding them in mastering powerful, practical communication tools and relationship practices to turn their hurts to healing.

In doing so, I’ve discovered that:

  • Conflict is a healthy and natural part of relating
  • The world has trained us in how NOT to repair
  • When navigated unskilfully, conflict becomes increasingly oppositional
  • When navigated skilfully, conflict is a doorway to deeper connection
  • Most of us never learnt how to skilfully repair

WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID OF THE APPROACH YOU’LL LEARN

“The peace we now feel about the toughest, recurring issues in our relationship represents a dramatic shift. I feel like we’re in it together for the very first time and I'm profoundly grateful for this work!” Christine, USA

“I’m so deeply grateful this process. I’ve had a profound shift in how I see the world, and in the relationship with my man.” Amie, Australia

HEART COACH, FACILITATOR, AUTHOR, SPEAKER

James 'Fish' Gill

James ‘Fish’ Gill is a Heart Coach, transformational facilitator and author of How To Fall In Love With Humanity. His work is grounded in a simple truth: when we learn how to witness and deeply honour each other’s humanity, even the hardest conversations become places of openness, willingness, understanding and accountability.

Fish guides us in seeing every moment of conflict as a profound invitation for deeper relating. He illustrates that conflict itself isn’t the problem; the absence of skill is - that without the capacity to navigate our interpersonal tensions masterfully, our resentments naturally linger, our frustrations go underground and our capacity to trust, collaborate and thrive in teams is naturally eroded.

Under Fish's guidance, conflict isn’t something to avoid - it’s something to walk towards: a powerful doorway to deeper understanding, connection, trust and intimacy in any relationship, if navigated skilfully.

Professionally, since 2008 Fish’s radically compassionate approach to conflict resolution and relationship repair has supported clients in 18 countries. He has trained over 40 therapists globally, and equipped leaders and teams with the skills to navigate interpersonal tension with courage, empathy and clarity. His speaking engagements include education and mental health conferences in Hong Kong, Perth, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney.

Personally, Fish has navigated a range of deeply challenging and complex relationships and relationship ruptures, including parenting and step-parenting after a divorce, healing after betrayal, and family estrangement. It is the insights he gained in these darkest, most painful times that he now shares as teachings across the world.
