Lace up your sneakers and join us for a meaningful morning of movement, community, and impact at the My Walk Emeris PMB edition.
Hosted in collaboration with Emeris Pietermaritzburg, Love Cities, and Run Walk for Life, this event is more than just a run or walk , it’s an opportunity to make a real difference. All proceeds will support the work of My Walk, creating lasting change in the lives of those they serve.
Millions of learners in South Africa still attend school without proper shoes. My Walk, supported by Netcare and Adcock Ingram Critical care, addresses this by transforming recycled medical materials into durable school shoes, restoring dignity and supporting education for children in need.
Whether you choose to run, walk, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, you’ll be part of a vibrant community united for a purpose. Bring your friends, family, and colleagues, and let’s take every step together towards hope and transformation.

The first 50 entries will receive a limited edition MyWalk event t-shirt.
Ticket buyers will pay 4.9% ex VAT on each ticket sold.
Ticket booking fees are payable by ticket buyers.
PARKING
Parking will be available at St Charles College and in Harwin and Taylor Road
IMPORTANT EVENT INFO
- Tickets are available on pre-sale only. No tickets can be purchased on the day of the event.
- Ticket holders will be scanned in from 6am
- The walk will start at 8am so please aim to be on the start line by 07:45.
- This will be a litter free event, kindly bring your own water bottle.
- Sorry, no pets allowed.
- Because the funds are raised for the My Walk cause, timing costs will not be incurred. Please track your own time.
- No alcohol or weapons may be brought onto the premises
- Children must not be left unattended.
- Kindly adhere to parking and route signage.
- Entry to the premises is at your own risk.
- No portable speakers - earbuds acceptable.

- To honour Mandela Day, all those finishing within 67 minutes will be entered into a lucky draw that will take place at the finish.

06:00 - gates open for race check in
07:45 - race briefing
08:00 - race starts
09:07 - finishers cut off for Mandela Day lucky draw
12:00 event closes
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Option to complete 2.5kms or the full 5kms
- Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers - applicable to 5km finishers only
- All runners & walkers that finish the full 5kms in 67 minutes will be entered into a lucky draw
- Red Bull activation
- Awesome coffee and food vendors
- Vibes on route - visit the PMB Eye Hospital's water table and have fun with Emeris volunteers along the way!
