ABOUT
This online workshop is designed for parents and guardians of secondary school learners who want practical guidance on how to remain meaningfully involved in their child’s education despite busy working lives.
High school places new academic, organisational, and emotional demands on learners. Many parents care deeply but are unsure how to intervene effectively as these demands increase.
In this session, parents will be introduced to a practical, research-informed parental involvement framework that helps them:
- understand what is happening in their child’s academic life,
- recognise early signs that support may be needed,
- respond calmly and appropriately, and
- Create a home environment that supports learning and independence.
The workshop includes a digital booklet that parents can use as a reference tool throughout their child’s high school years.
Format: Live online session (Google Meet)
Duration: ±90 minutes (including Q&A)
Cost: R250 per household
Google Meet access details and the digital booklet will be shared after ticket purchase.
