Make Your Own Throw Cushion | A Beginner-Friendly Sewing Workshop

Join us for a fun, creative morning of sewing, with a side of tea and biscuits. In this workshop, you’ll be guided through making your own throw cushion cover – from selecting fabric to cutting and inserting a zip. Leave with both a beautiful, bespoke cushion cover and the skills needed to continue creating your own soft furnishings at home.

Hosted by Home Palette, the home of high-quality interior fabrics, this workshop gives you access to an incredible collection of over 4,800 fabrics to choose from, allowing you to create something both personal and practical for your home.

Whether you’re completely new to sewing or already confident behind a machine, anyone is welcome. Please note you will need to bring your own machine. You’re welcome to share a machine with a friend.

The workshop will be guided by Andie Reeves, founder of Cape Town Craft Club, teacher and sewist.

• We will be making a standard 50cm x 50cm cover, however you’re welcome to bring an existing pillow inner to size your cover around
