Cape Town’s veteran improv troupe, ImproGuise, invites audiences into a

world of intrigue, comedy and suspense with Murder They Improvised.

In this inventive theatrical experience, Cluedo collides with Agatha Christie—improv style. A group of eccentric characters find themselves gathered under peculiar circumstances… but not everyone will make it out alive. The entire mystery is created live on stage, with the story unfolding in the moment.

Audience suggestions help shape the world of the play—from key elements of the story to unexpected twists along the way. Guided by a well-meaning amateur detective, the performers weave their way through a maze of improvisation where clues and red herrings collide and dark secrets slowly come to light.

Expect outrageous suspects, suspicious motives and dodgy alibis as the mystery deepens. Was it a crime of passion? A plot for money? Or something even darker? As the story unfolds, the audience must piece together the evidence and decide for themselves: Who did it—and why?

With ImproGuise’s signature wit and lightning-fast improvisation, Murder They Improvised promises an evening of suspense, laughter and completely unpredictable theatre.
