Join us on 30th May 2026 for a celebration of African culture, heritage, and unity at KoMjekejeke Cultural Heritage Village.
Experience live music performances across Afro-pop, Amapiano, Maskandi, Hip hop and traditional African artforms, alongside authentic African cuisine from across the continent and a curated artisan marketplace. Come dressed in your finest African attire and celebrate Africa Day with us.

EVENT T&CS
1. Refund Policy
- All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
- Refunds will only be issued in the following circumstances:
- The event is cancelled in its entirety by the organiser.
- The event is rescheduled and the ticket holder cannot attend the new date.
- In the event of a cancellation or reschedule, refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.
- No refunds will be issued for:
- Partial attendance or late arrival.
- Change of personal circumstances or inability to attend.
- Weather conditions, unless the event is officially cancelled.
- Ticket resale is the sole responsibility of the ticket holder. Tickets
- Purchases from unauthorized third parties may be refused entry.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The event organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the event for any reason, including but not limited to: Extreme weather conditions (e.g., severe storms, flooding).
- Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, public health emergencies, civil unrest).
- Technical failures or safety concerns affecting the venue or production.
- In the event of cancellation, the organiser will communicate via the official event website, social media channels, and email to all registered ticket holders.
- Liability is limited to the face value of the ticket. No additional compensation (e.g., travel, accommodation) will be provided.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- A valid ticket (physical printout or digital QR code on mobile device) is required for entry.
- Tickets are single-use only and will be scanned upon entry. Re-entry is not permitted unless otherwise stated.
- All attendees must present a valid ticket at the main entrance gate.
- Wristbands will be issued upon scanning and must be worn at all times during the event.
- The event organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or eject any person for: Non-compliance with event rules.
- Disorderly conduct, intoxication, or aggressive behaviour.
- Possession of illegal substances or prohibited items.
- Unauthorized vending or distribution of materials.
- No entry after 10:00 PM unless otherwise approved by event management.
ID REQUIREMENTS
Valid government-issued identification is required for:
- Entry to the Golden Circle and VIP areas.
- Alcohol purchases at bars.
- Age verification if the event is age-restricted.
- Accepted forms of ID: South African Identity Document (ID) or Smart ID Card. Valid passport. Valid driver’s license.
- No ID, no entry to age-restricted areas or alcohol service. Photocopies or photos of ID will not be accepted.
- The event organiser reserves the right to request ID from any attendee at any point during the event.
LIABILITY CLAUSES
Attendees enter the venue at their own risk:
- The event organiser, KoMjekejeke Cultural Heritage Village, and their respective employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for:
- Any loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought to the event.
- Personal injury, illness, or death sustained during the event, except where caused by gross negligence.
- Loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control (force majeure).
By attending, attendees assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:
- Crowd movement, noise exposure, and physical activity.
- Consumption of food or beverages purchased from vendors.
- The event organiser strongly recommends that attendees arrange their own personal insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Attendees must comply with all health and safety instructions issued by event staff, security, and emergency personnel:
First aid services will be available on-site throughout the event.
Attendees are responsible for their own well-being. Please:
- Stay hydrated.
- Use sunscreen and seek shade where available.
- Report any suspicious behaviour or safety concerns to event staff or security immediately.
- Any attendee displaying signs of illness or distress may be asked to seek medical assistance.
- The event organiser reserves the right to conduct bag searches and pat-downs at entry for security purposes. Refusal to comply will result in denied entry.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal substances or drugs.
- Weapons of any kind (including firearms, knives, pepper spray).
- Own alcohol or beverages (except with prior approval for medical or dietary needs).
- Glass bottles, cans, or coolers/cooler boxes.
- Fireworks, lasers, or any hazardous materials.
- Professional cameras or recording equipment without prior accreditation.
VENUE-SPECIFIC RULES
KoMjekejeke Cultural Heritage Village is a site of cultural significance. All attendees are required to respect the venue and its heritage.
- No climbing or damaging any structures, artifacts, or cultural installations.
- Respect cultural protocols as communicated by venue representatives or event staff.
- No open fires outside designated cooking areas operated by approved vendors.
- No overnight parking or sleeping in vehicles on the premises unless previously arranged.
- No littering. Waste bins will be provided throughout the venue. Please dispose of rubbish responsibly.
- No unauthorized vending or commercial activity without prior approval from the event organiser.
- No drones or unmanned aerial vehicles without prior written permission from event management.
- Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas.
- Pets are not permitted, with the exception of registered service animals accompanied by proper documentation.
MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY
By attending the event, attendees consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes.
- Images and footage may be used across event organiser platforms, social media, and partner channels without compensation.
- Any attendee who does not wish to be recorded should notify event staff or avoid designated filming areas.
