This dynamic arts event will showcase a variety of performances including singing, physical theatre, acting, and dance with each piece bringing its own unique voice and energy to the stage.

The evening will conclude with Vasgevang, a powerful and thought-provoking original production written by Aaminah Souma and directed by Aaminah Souma and Shanique Cox from the 2025 Stellenbosch Premiere Festival.

In the heart of a coloured community driven by its youth, Vasgevang focuses on the choices one makes and the consequences thereof. It all begins on results day when Kyle and Zoe receive their matric results, both experiencing different responses from their families. Later that day, three friends gather — joking, sharing meaningful conversations, and discovering new things about themselves and each other.

One lives each day like it’s her last, another always hopes for the best, and the third is unsure about her future and even more unsure about her identity. Romance lingers, but consequences always stand a better chance. As they try to help one another find their feet, challenges arise that dig up conflict from past friendships. In this small community, everyone knows everything… but no one knows what’s about to happen next.
