For this event resident host Ra Mava will share a selection of records which touch all corners of his sound. From Africa (afrobeat, afro funk, afro futurism, kwaito, bubblegum, SA jazz, amapiano etc) to the Americas (soul, jazz, disco, reggae, dub, dance hall, hip hop, RnB, electronic, house, deep house etc) and everywhere in between, these sessions create a golden thread between the broad spectrum of black music. Unbound by genres, geographies or eras, this event has something for everyone. It’s curated with intention and love, and will not only get you dancing, but it will get you thinking too.
