Train Daydreams: An Unprecedented Historical Journey along Cape Town’s Southern Rail Line from Cape Town Central to Kalk Bay

Like so many other Mother City fundis, we adore the People's Blue Train and want to evangelise its convenience and beauty to all and sundry!

So, after being fatefully approached by Vincent Savary Jackson of the National Parliament, we're introducing our newest and most innovative concept yet this Saturday morning: Cape Town Railway Heritage Tours.

In brief, we'll congregate by the Adderley MyCiti hub at Cape Town Central at 08h30 to hop aboard the 09h00 Southern Line train all the way down to Kalk Bay by 10h30.

On the way, we'll regale you with the story of Cape Town and the South African train revolution as laid out along one of the oldest commuter-rail services in the Southern Hemisphere.

Anyone who loves our country, our city's story, and history in general will know that locomotion makes the exemplary metaphor for the development of everything that's made us who we are! So come sing Shosholoza in chorus!
