Untitled Basement presents NJELIC (Intimate & Re-Imagined)
Date: Thursday, 2 April 2026
Doors open: 18h00
Performance starts: 20h00
Expect Njelic like you‘ve never heard him before: Live & unplugged.
Together with impeccable band, they will translate some of his notable hits like "Shesha Geza”, “Wamuhle”, “Bade”, “Ebumnandini", “Nana Thula” and many more, into an electric live performance. On this night, Njelic will remind us of his prowess beyond the production — his vocal range.
Njelic (@njelic_sa) is a pioneering South African amapiano vocalist, DJ, and songwriter widely recognised as one of the most influential voices in the genre. Emerging from Soweto, he rose to prominence through the viral hit “Shesha Geza,” one of the earliest breakout records in amapiano’s global rise.
Since then, Njelic has built an impressive catalogue of over 15 gold and multi-platinum records, becoming known for his storytelling lyrics, distinctive vocal tone, and ability to create culturally resonant music that connects with audiences across generations.
He has performed at some of the biggest music stages such as the Red Bull Symphonic, Afro Nation and Pianoland (Amsterdam). This time around, he steps into a more intimate setting, at the Basement for a curated offering of Amapiano, up close and personal.
