ABOUT
“Twins in Tune” takes audiences on a musical and storytelling journey shaped by a
lifetime of shared roots. Fondly known since their school days as “The Musical Twins,”
sisters Lizanne Barnard and Anne-Marie van Eeden trace their story from a childhood
in a musical household, beginning with piano lessons at the age of five and later formal
music studies. This foundation led to solo careers in composition, singing, and the
recording of several studio albums that, remarkably, developed in parallel across
continents.
The programme moves effortlessly from Mozart’s piano duets to the sisters’ own original
compositions and the evocative rhythms of Norah Jones and Astor Piazzolla. The deep
connection between the two is evident in the often light-hearted and engaging stories
they share. Their distinctive blend of voice, piano, accordion, and flute creates a rich and
memorable musical experience that has captivated audiences across Europe.
Their award-winning careers include several joint productions, among them Twee
Halfronde, Totally Twins, and Twins in Concert, which were performed in Switzerland
and France. Audiences have long cherished their pure vocal blend and their distinctive
fusion of classical and contemporary influences — an entertaining and honest musical
experience that only these twin sisters can offer.
