By purchasing a ticket and attending the Takealot House of Beauty Event ("Event"), I confirm my acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge that my participation in the Event is entirely voluntary and undertaken at my own risk. I understand that attending the Event may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, accidents, or damage to personal property. I accept full responsibility for any injuries, losses, or damages I may incur as a result of my participation in the Event. I agree to take all reasonable precautions to protect my health and safety while attending the Event.

2. Indemnification and Limitation of Liability: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Takealot Online (Pty) Ltd ("Takealot"), its affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions and related entities including but not limited to its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, and consultants (collectively referred to as the "Organiser"), as well as any Event Sponsors ("Sponsors") from any claims, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event. This includes, but is not limited to, claims resulting from my use of products or services during the Event, or any injury or damage caused to or by me during the Event, regardless of whether I am the party at fault.

3. Media Consent: I grant permission to the Organiser, Sponsors, and all other affiliates to take photographs, video recordings, and/or audio recordings of me during the Event, whether now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Event for promotional, marketing, advertising and other lawful purposes, without compensation or further consent.

4. Compliance with Event Rules and Regulations: I agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, guidelines, and Event-specific regulations established by the Organiser. Failure to comply with these rules may result in my removal from the Event, without refund of any ticket or other fees paid, and the Organiser reserves the right to take further action as necessary.

5. Force Majeure: The Organiser is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms due to any event beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseen circumstances.

6. Refund Policy and Cancellation: I understand that all ticket sales are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise specified by the Organiser. In accordance with applicable consumer rights, I am entitled to cancel the purchase of the ticket without reason and without penalty within seven days of the date of purchase. If I cancel within this period, a full refund will be issued. After this seven-day cancellation period, ticket sales are final, and no refunds will be given, unless the Event is cancelled by the Organiser. In the event of the cancellation of the Event, a full refund may be issued at the sole discretion of the Organiser, but this is not guaranteed.

7. Alcohol: The sale of alcoholic beverages at this Event is strictly prohibited to individuals under the age of 18 years. Consumption of alcohol may be restricted to specific areas within the Event or venue. All alcohol must be consumed in designated areas, and attendees are prohibited from taking alcoholic drinks outside of these areas. The Organisers will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or legal consequences arising from the violation of any alcohol consumption laws. All attendees are required to comply with these terms and any additional legal restrictions on alcohol sale and consumption.)

8. No suitcases will be allowed into the venue.

By purchasing a ticket for the House of Beauty event, you consent to receiving communications from Takealot regarding event-related updates, including news, promotional offers, and any changes related to the event.

Prohibited Items: Weapons, Glass Bottles/Items, Alcohol and Illegal Substances, food and drink from outside the venue.
