Wren Hinds live at The Theatre Dining Room, Brass Bell

Celebrated South African troubadour Wren Hinds will present a special solo acoustic performance at theTheatre Dining Room at the iconic Brass Bell on 4 April 2026 — marking his first-ever performance in Kalk Bay and his second live show announcement of 2026.

Wren Hinds is a singer-songwriter, musician, and producer whose evocative style blends indie-folk, alternative, and cinematic textures with emotionally resonant storytelling. From his roots on the east coast of South Africa, he has quietly become one of the most compelling singer-songwriters in the Southern Hemisphere.

His fourth studio album Don’t Die in the Bundu, released by UK tastemaker label Bella Union—home to artists such as Fleet Foxes, Beach House, and Father John Misty—was praised by MOJO Magazine as “a subtle form of intensity” and described by Record Collector as “a gently beguiling set of sweet, soft hymns to hope in choppy times.” The release established Wren as a vital voice in the new wave of global indie artists.

Set within the atmospheric Theatre Dining Room of the iconic Brass Bell, overlooking the ocean in the south peninsula fishing village of Kalk Bay, the evening will present Wren's songs in their most intimate form: voice, guitar, and story in close conversation with the audience.
