Moroccan Lemon Workshop
Sat Jun 6, 11:00 - Sat Jun 6, 14:30
Pecanberry Farm
ABOUT
Join us on PecanBerry Farm for preserved lemon workshop.
Moroccan lemons (also known simply as preserved lemons) are a staple in North African and Middle Eastern cuisines. Using fresh lemon, that fruit we all know & love, in this workshop we’ll be transforming them into something different. Think sour, tangy, umami flavours. Perfect for all kinds of savoury dishes; from stews to salads and roasts.
The workshop will introduce you to Moroccan lemons, followed by a hands-on making session where you will craft your own batch to take home. The day ends with a Moroccan inspired lunch using the preserved lemon as our star ingredient.
The lemons used in the workshop are from our orchard, so they are organic, pesticide and wax free.
This is a fun day in nature exploring not only the technique, but also the land where our food comes from. Ideal for food and nature lovers, home cooks, chefs, recipe developers, caterers and or anyone who wants to learn something new and expand their culinary repertoire. Just come as you are with a curiosity to learn! This workshop and may be suitable for children who are interested in cooking and agriculture.
All ingredients and equipment will be supplied.
