ABOUT
The "Bundu Bashing Camp" is an annual camping experience brought to you by Mdu's Lifestyle Events & Friends. The event takes place every year from the 30th of December to the 2nd of Jan- thus from Friday to Sunday this year.
Background
The 3-day camping escapade came into being when a group of friends, who always met to celebrate the New Year at their homes, started yearning for something different. They were tired of ushering in the New Year the traditional way, and thus decided to it differently, in an outdoor setting.
While conceptualising the camp idea, the friends put together elements of what they enjoyed the most e.g. food, music, fashion and the arts (i.e. performing, visual and craft), with what nature had to offer. They then added interactive activities, as to make the experience even more memorable, which resulted in the birth of what we today refer to as the “Bundu Bashing Camp.”
The Experience
The "Bundu Bashing Camp" experience has always acted as a place for friends to meet, new people to get to know each other, and relationships to forge. It has also been a place where people with common interests, come together and share those interests through various interactive activities, such as cooking, performances and games (e.g. board and indigenous games), amongst other things.
