We're tackling 25km of pure coastal magic — from the iconic Umhlanga Lighthouse all the way to the vibrant Ballito strip. We'll weave through Umdloti, La Mercy, Westbrook, and countless hidden beach gems that most people only dream of seeing.

And the reward? A well-earned, ice-cold drink and a late lunch at Hops in Ballito, swapping stories of the day's adventure with your new hiking family.

The details:

Meet: 7:45 AM for an 8:00 AM sharp departure

Where: Durban View Carpark, Umhlanga

The Mission: ±25 km one-way beach bash

Time on your feet: Approx 7 hours (plus plenty of pauses for those views)

The Perk: Return shuttle waiting for us in Ballito

Cost:

R399 per person — that's less than R16 per kilometre of pure adventure!

Bookings: Strictly via Quicket (tickets are limited!)

What to bring:

-Snacks, water, and something tasty for brunch on the move

-Your trusty backpack

-Small towel (those river mouths might be calling for a splash!)

-Cash or card for those well-deserved drinks at Hops

-Footwear? Whatever makes you happy! Shoes, sandals, aqua shoes — or go barefoot and feel the earth!

Important info:

-Bring the family! Kids are absolutely welcome.

-Dogs too! But please arrange their own ride home — they can't join the shuttle.

-Rain or shine, we hike! Only extreme weather stops us.

-Minimum 10 hikers needed to make the magic happen. If we don't hit it, event is cancelled and full refunds issued.
