PROHIBITED ITEMS
Prohibited Items
For safety and security reasons, the following items are not permitted inside the event venue:
Firearms or weapons of any kind
Explosives, fireworks, or flammable substances
Drones or unmanned aerial devices
Laser pointers
Illegal substances
Glass bottles or containers
Alcohol not purchased at the event
Large Cooler boxes or large picnic hampers (unless permitted in designated areas)
Tents, gazebos, or large shade structures
Braai equipment or open flames
Loudspeakers or sound systems
Any item that may pose a safety risk to aircraft operations or spectators
Event security reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items.
Items allowed:
Camping chairs
Sunscreen and hats
Cameras and binoculars
Small backpacks / picnic baskets
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By purchasing a ticket to any airshow organised or co-hosted by the Organisers (Creative Space Media and The
Smoke on Go Foundation) through the ticketing platform, any other authorised ticketing platform, at the entrance,
or by entering the Airshow venue by any other means, the Participant or any Ticket Holder agrees to the following
terms and conditions.
1. INTERPRETATION
1.1 In this document, any reference to a gender includes all genders.
1.2 A natural person includes an artificial person and vice versa.
1.3 The singular includes the plural and vice versa.
2. DEFINITIONS
2.1 Participant
Refers to the ticket purchaser or holder, their minor children (duly supervised), their heirs, executors or assigns, and
the company, trust, firm or organisation they represent or for whom tickets are purchased, including all employees,
guests, invitees or family members using such tickets.
2.2 Ticket Holder
Refers to any individual in lawful possession of a ticket, including those receiving tickets from Participants, other
Ticket Holders, or complimentary ticket issuers, including their supervised minor children, heirs, assigns, affiliated
organisations and guests.
2.3 Airshow
Refers to any aviation event inclusive of aerial displays and associated on-ground exhibitions, attractions and
activities officially organised and sanctioned by the Organisers, regardless of date or venue.
2.4 Organisers
Include the official event organisers, their staff, subcontractors, suppliers, officers or employees of the South African
Civil Aviation Authority, members of Airshow South Africa, the appointed Airshow Safety Officer, marshals, flight
directors, volunteers, contractors, municipal representatives and emergency services.
2.5 Participation
Encompasses attendance via ticket purchase or complimentary access, performance or service contribution,
business or promotional activity, broadcasting, volunteering, spectating, or any form of physical presence at the
Airshow event.
3. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION
3.1 The Participant or Ticket Holder voluntarily chooses to attend and participate in the Airshow, fully aware of and
accepting the inherent risks associated with aviation displays, aircraft operations and large public events.
4. INDEMNITY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Participant or Ticket Holder:
4.1 Indemnifies and holds harmless the Organisers and their affiliates from all claims of loss, damage, injury, or
death, regardless of cause, that may occur during or related to the Airshow.
4.2 Accepts that the Organisers and associated entities shall not be liable for any damage or liability arising from
negligence, omission, or breach of contract.
4.3 Accepts that they shall have no claim for any costs, damages or losses arising from cancellation, postponement,
schedule changes, programme changes, weather interruptions, or limited access to the Airshow.
5. Waiver of Claims
5.1 The Participant or Ticket Holder irrevocably waives any right to claim for damages or loss, whether arising from
ordinary or gross negligence by the Organisers or associated entities.
6. Risk and Responsibility
6.1 Entry to any Airshow venue is entirely at the Participant or Ticket Holder’s own risk.
6.2 The safety and supervision of accompanying minors is solely the responsibility of the Participant or Ticket Holder.
6.3 Airshows involve aircraft operations and high noise levels. Hearing protection for young children is
recommended.
7. Ticketing and Admission
7.1 A valid ticket is required for entry unless complimentary access has been granted.
7.2 Tickets must be presented upon entry in printed or digital form.
7.3 Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the Organisers.
7.4 The Airshow will proceed in light rain or moderate weather conditions.
7.5 The flying display programme is subject to change due to safety considerations, weather conditions or
operational requirements. No refunds will be issued if specific aircraft or performers are unable to participate.
7.6 The Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any person whose behaviour is deemed unsafe,
disruptive or in violation of these terms.
8. Security and Safety
8.1 All persons and their belongings may be subject to security searches upon entry.
8.2 Participants must follow all instructions from event staff, safety officials, security personnel or emergency
services at all times.
8.3 The event operates in compliance with the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act and applicable aviation
safety regulations.
9. Photography, Media and Broadcasting
9.1 By entering the Airshow venue, Participants consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded.
9.2 Such recordings may be used by the Organisers for marketing, promotional, broadcast or archival purposes
without compensation.
10. Parking and Property
10.1 Parking is at the vehicle owner’s risk.
10.2 The Organisers are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to vehicles or personal property.

Security personnel reserve the right to confiscate prohibited items or deny entry.
12. Binding Agreement
12.1 By purchasing, receiving or using a ticket, the Participant or Ticket Holder confirms that they have read,
understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
12.2 This agreement becomes effective from the date of ticket purchase or receipt and remains in force for the
duration of the Airshow event attended.
13. Notice
Entry into any Airshow event constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Organisers reserve the
right to amend these terms at their discretion. The latest version will be published on the official event website
and/or ticketing platform.
