Missed being together in the dust, by the fire, under the lights?

Afterglow is where we gather again.

Afterglow is Gauteng’s "official unofficial" after-burn decompression, and this year, we’re heading to the lush banks of the Vaal. Located at Vaalplaasie—just an hour from Joburg and Pretoria—it’s a one-night camp-out designed for the dreamers, builders, and magic-makers (dust and all).

This year’s theme is Togetherness. It’s a space to unwind, unbox our stories, and "yonder forth" into the winter months with full hearts.

Expect a Bedouin lounge filled with live music, open-mic sessions for regaling burn tales, and "artsy-fartsy" stations for the creative soul.

We’re bringing the funk and disco—music that makes your bum wiggle and your spirit soar—without drowning out the connection.

There'll be fire braziers and fire-heated hot tubs to keep us warm when we're not dancing away into the night.

Come for the legendary pizza, stay for the twinkling lights and "tribe-aceous" delights. Let’s store our stories together before the magical-dust settles.

The event starts from 10am on Saturday 30 May and ends at 3pm on Sunday 31 May

Doors open: 10am on Saturday 30 May

Doors close: 8pm on Saturday 30 May

Tickets are limited.

What the tribe should bring:

• Camping gear for one-night only - fairy lights for you and your tents :)
• Swimming costume (if you intend to soak it up in the fire hot tub)
• Cash/Card to use at the restaurant which has the best pizza and a fully stocked bar
• Your own food and drinks
• Your fluffy warm jacket and hat along with your funky fabulous attire
• A camping chair or a large floor cushion/rug for riverside chats.
• Headlamp/torch
• Drinking water
• All the burner principles in your back pocket
