ABOUT

For those who fondly remember Plewman’s legendary performance in “Defending the Caveman”, this new work carries the same sharp humour and charm—now enriched by the perspective of a man who has lived, loved, lost, and learned.

EPILOGUE is a show about our mature years and is filled with laughter, some tears and even a couple of philosophical moments.

More than just a show, “Epilogue” is an experience—raw, honest, and unforgettable.

Written and performed by South African stage legend Tim Plewman, and co-authored with his longtime friend and advertising mastermind John Smeddle, “Epilogue” is a deeply personal journey that weaves between past and present, sorrow and joy, absurdity and insight.

With masterful comic timing and emotional depth, Plewman invites the audience into the intimate moments that shaped him—moments we all recognise in one way or another. Whether he’s reflecting on the chaos of modern life, reminiscing about friendships and follies, or navigating the beautiful awkwardness of ageing, his performance resonates with warmth, wit, and wisdom.

Famous actor and playwright,Paul Slabolepsy, reviewed the show and said:

"Tim Plewman's new one-person play is both entertaining and thought-provoking. A deep-dive into how we humans navigate our autumn years, the play is at the same time a roller coaster ride of laughs and reminds us that in our all-too-short life love is indeed all we need. So profound."

It's always special when an actor with years of experience in all branches of entertainment takes the stage. Even more exciting when it’s a piece written with honesty and intrigue by the star himself. Tim Plewman’s Epilogue is just that. Brilliant, hilarious, self-deprecating, warm and uplifting, all on the theme of friendship. I saw the premier of Epilogue. Lucky me. PAUL DITCHFIELD – THE BATS
