Celebrate International Women's month with a vibrant afternoon of art, flavour, and creative expression with artist Joel Mamboka. Colours of Her is a unique Sip & Paint experience where you’ll explore bold colour, texture, and storytelling while creating a striking African portrait.
Guided step-by-step, you’ll learn mixed-media techniques influenced by acclaimed Congolese artist Joel Mamboka, known for his dynamic portraits, rich colour palettes, and distinctive use of layered materials. His work has been exhibited internationally and locally with his current solo at World Art in Cape Town celebrating the beauty, and strength of the Sapeur Culture. This is a rare opportunity to learn techniques straight from Joel Mamboka himself in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
No experience? No problem. This experience is completely beginner-friendly. All canvases are pre-sketched lightly to make it easier to begin. Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or you’re looking to reconnect with your creative side, you’ll be guided through the process in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Expect laughter, colour, cutting fabrics, and the joy of discovering your inner artist.
