ABOUT

Experience the transformative power of art with Fiver Locker, an extraordinary artist who reimagines the African landscape through a decolonial lens. In a special collaboration with the META foundation and Bridge Books, we invite you to an inspiring zine-making workshop by Fiver Locker. Join us on the 7th of March at Bridge Books, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and immerse yourself in a creative journey.

This workshop takes place within the context of "We are here: Atlas of pre-colonial Africa" This exhibition is a collective act of remembrance, resistance, and re-mapping. Bringing together works by Bekezela Mabena, Fiver Locker and Mpho Machate, the exhibition challenges the inherited visual and epistemic frameworks through which Africa has been historically represented—particularly those shaped by colonial cartography, archives, and narratives of absence.

The exhibition catalogue is available here.

This family-friendly event is open to all, so bring your imagination and come be part of something truly special.
