ABOUT
Jazz on the Vlei is Jazz Showcase,Tribute,Food and Jazz Party!From 6pm to 7pm is CHILL time on the p[atio where you will be served with a welcome drink on arrival and some aperitiffs to stimulate the apetite! At 7.30pm a light 1st course will be served and then it is moving inside to the main hall which will be decked out black,white & red decor to herald the Christmas season and the smartness of the occassion! It also departs this year as ''Jazz on the Vlei'' becomes an inside joll! The women will receive a 'Goody Bag' & later in the evening we will auction something that will get you going for Christmas! So bring the chequebooks, as this is a fund-raiser to purchase organic consumebles for the market farms for the Small Farmers, that we support when we can! Major water restrictions are making it near impossible for the Farmers to make headway with their growing! Summer presents even more challenges. Please guys, support our efforts so that we can continue supporting our small projects!
In the Main hall with the stage set,you will take your seats,there will be soft instrumental music playing by a musician/s for your Main course of spitbraai or fish on the coals which will be served approx at 8pm with salads, slow roasted organic veggies & a variety of breads! Thereafter the SHOWCASE will begin with a combination of Young Jazz Musicians, glowing in their own light and Seasoned Musicians designed to enthrall you till 9.30pm! A break will ensue when a variety of desserts will be served with coffee in the MINOR hall by the LOVE BAKE KITCHEN. This is where it gets more than interesting, the tables will be cleared to be placed under the stretch tent outside in the garden nursery making way for that RED shoes to be kicked up to the exciting sounds of SAMMY & LESLEY RAE WEBBER when they take the stage! So, you are going to dance and let your hair down after a year which has been filled with well, all kinds of everything, making it sometimes a rough sleigh ride for us all! Thank you to Sammy & Lesley Rae for helping us with the fundraiser!
Only PRE-SOLD tickets will be sold and by the last week in November 2017 the full showcase will be announced!
Tickets are R300pp and a traditional size picnic basket/ container of alcohol will be charged R50 per basket for corkage, anything bigger will be R150
We will be selling chasers and giving the ice free! Please bring your ice bucket with you & tongs!
