Important Event Info & Safety Notice – Let's Keep It Safe, Fun & Purposeful!

We're committed to creating an epic, secure space for everyone aged 13–30. By buying a ticket and attending (Thursday Leaders Conference or Friday Festival Night), you agree to the following:

Photography, Videography & Media (POPIA Notice)

Photos, videos, and audio may be captured of attendees during the event for promotional, social media, and marketing purposes by the organizers (Galilee YA, ReAWKN Youth, and Harvest Christian Church). This includes your image, likeness, voice, and participation.

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), this is personal information, and by attending you give explicit, voluntary consent for us to collect, process, store, and share it responsibly on our channels to promote this and similar events.

We won't sell your info and will handle it securely for the stated purposes only.

You can withdraw consent anytime by contacting us (email: [[email protected]).

Entry, Bag Checks & Prohibited Items

All attendees go through bag checks and security screening at the door for everyone's safety. Please cooperate – it's quick!

Prohibited Items (NO exceptions – confiscated and not returned):

Alcohol (any kind)

Vapes, e-cigarettes, tobacco/smoking products

Weapons or anything that could be used as one (knives, pepper spray, etc.)

Illegal drugs/substances

Fireworks, flares, flammables

Outside food/drinks (food trucks inside!)

Large bags/backpacks (small/crossbody/clear preferred)

Items that could disrupt (air horns, lasers, large poles/flags)

Allowed: Small bags, water bottles, hats, jackets, good vibes!

If you bring prohibited stuff, entry may be denied or you'll be asked to leave if you do not cooperate with bag checks – no refunds.

Safeguarding & Wristbands – Protecting Our Youth

This is a mixed-age event (13–30), so we're prioritizing safety and best interests:

Youth (13–17) get one colour wristband (e.g., yellow).

Young Adults (18–30) get a different colour (e.g., blue).

This helps our team quickly identify age groups, ensure proper supervision ratios, support safeguarding, and keep interactions appropriate. Wristbands are non-removable and required throughout the event.

We have trained stewards, clear reporting procedures, and a zero-tolerance policy for harm, abuse, or unsafe behaviour. If you see or feel anything concerning, speak to a steward or organizer immediately.

Parents/guardians of under-18s: You're welcome to contact us with questions beforehand.

Assumption of Risk & No Liability Disclaimer

Attendance and participation in The Fest (including all activities, praise party, hangouts, and venue areas) is entirely at your own risk. You acknowledge that events like this involve inherent risks (e.g., crowds, music volumes, physical activity, outdoor elements, or general event hazards). By booking a ticket and attending, you/parent/guardian:

  • Release and indemnify the organizers (Galilee YA, ReAWKN Youth, venue owners/staff, volunteers, partners, and affiliates) from any claims, demands, or liability arising from your attendance or participation, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct. We take reasonable steps for safety (security, stewards, checks), but we accept no liability for accidents, theft, loss of belongings, or any other issues.

Changes, Cancellation & Force Majeure

We reserve the right to change, postpone, or cancel the event (or parts of it) due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, safety issues, venue problems, etc.). We'll notify via our channels/socials. No refunds for changes/cancellations unless we decide otherwise. In case of cancellation, we'll aim to reschedule or refund where feasible, but accept no further liability.
