Welcome to our first HBIS Parent Association Art Workshop!
Please join Russell Chitanda from Tea Bag Designs to craft a papier mache piggy bank, giraffe and more!
We will be crafting three amazing papier mache projects in a two weekend workshop with the Production Manager from Tea Bag Designs.
We have been lucky enough to have Tea Bag Designs agree to forge a relationship with our school in an effort to better understand what they do and the difference Tea Bag Designs has made in its artists’ lives by teaching them an artistic craft.
Russell will demonstrate his craft and expertise and we will have our own Mr. Grant and parent volunteers to assist in creating a fun filled workshop to raise money for our Art Department.
The Parent Association will be offering an art workshop each term in an effort to create funding for items that will enhance our Art Department. We are hoping to raise enough to buy a Printing Press, table covers and rolls of brown craft paper with this workshop! In an effort to donate as much of the proceeds as possible to the art department, please send your child/children with the list of materials requested (almost all just recycled materials!).
Please come and participate as we craft a Piggy Bank, Giraffe and another fun project!

Who: students from EY1 up to PYP6
When: July 28th & August 4th from 10:30 to 12:00 on both days
Cost: R200 (for both days)
Where: HBIS Art Room
Children to Bring: 1-2 Rolls masking tape; egg carton, paper towel and/or toilet paper rolls; milk carton, newspapers.
