The Myth of Amnesia: A Legacy of Empire - Art Exhibition at the Rand Club

Join Fiver Löcker for a guided walkabout of her solo exhibition “The Myth of Amnesia: A Legacy of Empire”, proudly hosted at the marvellous Rand Club.

Fiver’s artistic practice is grounded in obsessive sketching, layered research and a restless curiosity about history’s ‘blind spots’. Working across printmaking, collage, monotype, ceramics, embroidery and zine-making, she constructs complex visual languages that bring hidden narratives into view. Her work is less about providing answers than about creating entry points for further questioning, offering fragments, maps and symbols that invite viewers to navigate contradictions for themselves.

Join the tour and experience a unique opportunity to explore the Rand Club in the company of its chairperson, the charismatic Brian McKechnie. He will share the history of this luxurious space, born from the richest goldfield in the world. The library alone is worth the visit!
