Step into 1960s Baltimore — a world of television dance shows, bright lights and even brighter personalities. At the centre of it all is Tracy Turnblad: fearless, funny and unapologetically herself. When she lands a spot on the city’s hottest TV show, she doesn’t just chase fame — she challenges the system, breaks boundaries and proves that big dreams belong to everyone.

What follows is a vibrant celebration of inclusion, courage and standing up for what’s right — all wrapped in one of Broadway’s most infectious scores.

From “Good Morning Baltimore” to the powerful “I Know Where I’ve Been” and the electrifying finale “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” this Tony Award-winning musical delivers hit after hit and massive ensemble numbers that lift audiences to their feet, performed by a stellar cast of talented South African performers.

From the creative team behind Cabaret (2024) and the sell-out hit Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2025), this production brings the same immersive touches and bold staging audiences have come to expect — colour spilling beyond the stage, movement filling the space and the pulse of the 60s running through the theatre.
