Chante Phillips

In 2016, Chanté met the legendary drummer Frank Paco. Recognizing her talent and potential, Frank took a keen interest in her development and has been informally mentoring and coaching her ever since.

Due to Frank’s demanding international schedule, his support is often provided remotely through digital platforms. Nonetheless, he has played a pivotal role in structuring her technical development, particularly in drumming, which has greatly enhanced her versatility across musical genres—especially Jazz.

Despite his busy calendar, Frank remains a committed mentor. He regularly checks in on her progress, assigns tasks, and even requires her to submit video recordings of her practice sessions for feedback.
