Her Power Her Safety Expo at Triggerfish Brewing

This human rights day you are invited to Her Power, Her Safety which is the first expo of its kind in Cape Town, created to give women the space, knowledge, and confidence to explore practical, real-world approaches to personal safety and preparedness.

Founded by three well-established organisations with a shared commitment to education and empowerment, the event focuses on informed decision-

making and practical solutions rather than fear. Visitors can explore a wide range of safety topics — from self-defence options and

situational awareness to basic survival skills and introductory first-aid demonstrations — all presented in an accessible, supportive environment. A diverse group of exhibitors and specialists will be on hand to encourage meaningful conversations around personal security, awareness, and risk reduction.

While centred on empowering women, the expo is family-friendly and welcomes partners and children, reinforcing that safety is a shared responsibility. “Nanny and Me” will also be joining to keep the kids engaged with wholesome, supervised activities, helping turn the day into a positive learning experience for the entire family.

Event Highlights Include:

• Talks on highway and emergency safety, cybercrime and scams, and burglary awareness

• Practical demonstrations in first aid basics, pepper spray use, vehicle safety and tyre-

changing demonstrations

• Interactive skills sessions covering movement, body mechanics, and situational awareness
