Guests arrive independently and check into their own accommodation in Graaff-Reinet. In the early evening, the hosted programme begins with a welcome and briefing at a central pick-up point, followed by a hosted VIP dinner themed "A Taste of the Karoo: Landscape, Fibre and Storytelling," with welcome drinks, introductions to the Karoo natural fibre story, and informal guest connections.
FRIDAY, 3 JULY: Wool World, Farming Demonstrations and Natural Fibre Market
Guests are collected from Graaff-Reinet and welcomed with coffee and pastries on the way to Dwarsvlei Farm. The day begins with the official opening of Wool World / Karoo Kraal, followed by the Wool Walk About. A hosted lunch at Dwarsvlei House is followed by a curated walkthrough of the Natural Fibre Market, a guided tour of the festival's agricultural demonstrations (shearing, spinning, sheep dog and wool classing), and free time to explore independently. The day closes with the Karoo Kraal Conversations session at 16:00, with guests welcome to stay on for the evening atmosphere and networking before the return transfer to Graaff-Reinet.
SATURDAY, 4 JULY: Merino Farm Visit, Relaxed Festival Experience and Closing Celebration
The day begins with a morning transfer to a Merino farm for an immersive farm experience, followed by a midday transfer back to Dwarsvlei. After a relaxed festival lunch, the afternoon features the Wool Walk About / Karoo Stories with Karoo Space, a Karoo Kraal Wine and Design session, and a Chef Ollie lamb shoulder potjie experience. The Wool World Closing takes place at 16:30, followed by a VIP sundowner and closing reflection. Guests can stay on for a Springbok rugby screening (South Africa vs England) at 17:30 and the WolJol with Dodo and Rooksein at 19:30, before the return transfer to Graaff-Reinet.
