This is a day built around community, colour, and South African energy all in one place. We’re transforming the Castle of Good Hope in the heart of the city into a living, breathing experience where creativity, commerce, and community collide, and we want you to be at the centre of it all.
Shop from a marketplace of local talent and meet the creative makers, offering a diverse range of lifestyle products from homeware, fashion, art, and accessories that are all handmade right here in South Africa. Eat your way through mouthwatering local food and drinks. This is an experiential market with fashion shows, live music and singers, dancing, and drumming workshops. Play with the whole family at The Creative Workshop Area, which will host a variety of interactive workshops throughout the day for all guests.

About the Craft + Design Institute (CDI)
Kuier@TheCastle is proudly powered by the Craft & Design Institute (CDI), a non-profit that supports makers and entrepreneurs across South Africa. CDI helps small businesses grow through mentoring, showcasing at major trade shows in America and Europe, and providing a permanent platform at the V&A Watershed.
Before market day, every vendor is invited to free workshops on pricing, sales, and business skills. These workshops mean vendors arrive prepared, confident, and ready to grow on market day.
