GOB Turns 3

Three years ago, a simple idea rolled onto the streets: get more girls on bikes, create a safe space for women to feel free and make new friends. What started as a few girlies at our rides in Braam, has grown into a moving community — one that laughs loudly, takes up space, and always dresses up for each ride, you know to feel extra confident.

This birthday ride is celebrating the nervous first rides, the friendships formed, the riders who have become more confident kilometre by kilometre. It’s about choosing joy, choosing movement, and choosing each other — again and again.

Girls on Bikes turning three feels like a celebration of sisterhood in motion. Of showing up as you are. Of pushing a little further than you thought you could, with a whole group cheering you on. It’s proof that when women ride together, something powerful happens — the streets feel friendlier, the ride feels lighter, and the journey feels shared.
