Purmi is a passionate one-man band originally from Upington, now based in Bloemfontein in the Free State, where he’s chasing his dream of making music for a living. With a deep love for live performance and connecting with audiences, Purmi brings energy, heart, and authenticity to every stage he steps on.

Focusing mainly on country music, his sound is inspired by both modern and classic legends. His setlists feature crowd favorites from artists like Zac Brown Band, Kip Moore, Johnny Cash, and more — blending storytelling, grit, and feel-good rhythms that country fans love.

But versatility is where Purmi truly shines. Depending on the crowd and the vibe of the venue, he mixes in old-school hits and popular Afrikaans songs, including artists like Riaan Benadé, creating a show that appeals to a wide range of audiences.

As a one-man band, Purmi delivers a full, live sound that feels bigger than one performer — combining vocals, guitar, and live looping/percussion elements to keep dance floors moving and crowds engaged.
