Discover the genius of nature and Biomimicry's Life's Principles in this wonderful Oasis in the Cedarberg. Be lead on this extraordinary experience by expert nature guide Sam Chevalier (from ReWild.tv and Safari Live), and Biomimicry Professional, Claire Janisch. Join us for this weekend away in the beautiful Cedarberg, (re)connecting with nature, being inspired by it's genius, and (going deeper in) learning practical principles to apply to the redesign of our world. What if the products, processes and systems we designed and lived with were created with the genius and wisdom of nature as model, measure and mentor. Join a group of like-minded aspiring biomimics to learn and apply nature's principles for thriving in our world and apply them in creative design applications relevant to your field of work/study/interest.

You can either stay in the rooms at the hostel or bring your tent for the campsite. Arrive by 4pm on Friday to set up camp and engage in some re-connect activities. Start early on Saturday with discoveries into the genius of nature, walks, swims, and more. Share the discoveries with stories around the campfire on Saturday evening. Integrate your learning in a design challenge on Sunday morning, before heading back home, inspired and refreshed, ready to apply what you've learned. Think of it as a mini biomimicry festival.

BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND BEVERAGES. YOUR ACCOMMODATION MUST BE BOOKED AND PAID FOR SEPARATELY. 

Accommodation costs and bookings: There is loads of accommodation at the backpackers. Tented accommodation ranges from R150 to R185 per night.
