ABOUT

Kingsmead College is excited to host the Neuroverse Galactica Sensory Space Exhibition from Tuesday, 12 May to Saturday, 23 May 2026, as part of this year’s Kingsmead Book Fair, themed “One Small Chapter, One Giant Leap for Imagination.”

This interactive exhibition invites children, families, and educators to explore neurodiversity. Building on the success of last year's Your Brain is a Garden exhibition, Neuroverse Galactica focuses on how different brains and bodies experience the world.

Based on Dr Dee Blackie’s research and her work with the Sensory Space at the Children’s Memorial Institute, the exhibition showcases the experiences of neurodiverse children, including those with autism, ADHD, and other challenges. Visitors will explore various “planets” designed to engage the senses and understand how children process information. This educational yet imaginative exhibition promotes empathy and reflection on sensory experiences.
