ABOUT
At our workshop, we will be covering some of the basic components of children’s ministry, namely
- memory verses
- object lessons
- and prayer.
The difference is... we want to explore doing this with God, rather than about God.
The question we want to address is how we transform these activities from information that gets transferred to experiences that get lived.
During our time together, Esme and Lynette will be sharing about:
- Why we teach memory verses, object lessons, and prayer at children’s church.
- The do’s and the don’ts of how to teach the abovementioned.
- How to tweak it so that the activity becomes a chance for the children to learn about God, connect with Him, speak to Him and experience His presence.
During the workshop, there will be an opportunity for participants to:
- Experience the activities for themselves
- Ask questions
- Brainstorm solutions
- Be with God - to relax in His Presence and to just be!
As we start the morning, Esmé will be talking about the importance of us being in God’s Presence, and doing ministry from a place of being “inside of God ”, instead of “outside” of Him.
