UTCT presents the 22nd edition of Batrun on Saturday 28 March 2026.

VOLUNTEER PORTFOLIOS

Please read through the following information carefully before completing your sign-up.

• Aid station crew

Volunteers needed to support runners at the aid station.

Location & time:

Tafelberg Road (base of Platteklip Gorge), 18h00 to 02h00

• Marshals

Volunteers needed at key checkpoints to time runners and ensure they stay on the correct route.

Location & time:

Checkpoint 1 - Devil's Peak, 16h00 until sweep

Checkpoint 2 - Maclear's Beacon, 16h00 until sweep

Checkpoint 3 - Lion's Head, 19h15 until sweep

• Race village crew

Volunteers needed at race village to assist with registration, food preparation, and general finish-area tasks.

Location & time:

Registration - Homestead Park, 16h00 to 19h00

Braai area - Homestead Park, 20h00 to 05h00

Finish area - Homestead Park, 21h30 to 05h00

• Route markers

Volunteers needed to mark the race course in advance.

Location & time:

From Homestead Park, 12h00 start [±5 hours]

• Forerunners

Volunteers needed to run ahead of the field and pre-check the route.

Location & time:

From Homestead Park, 15h30 start [±5 hours]

• Sweeps

Volunteers needed to follow behind the final runners and remove route markings.

Location & time:

Group 1 - From Homestead Park, 19h05 start [±5 hours]

Group 2 - From Aid station, 01h30 start [±5 hours]
