“LEGAGA” & “BATTLE OF COLORS” by ITROTRA-MAP DANCE FESTIVAL 2026

From 27 February to 7 March 2026, Itrotra Art X Connection – NPC proudly presents the 4th Edition of the ITROTRA–MAP Dance Festival, in partnership with Barloworld Empowerment Foundation, The Market Theatre, and The French Alliance of Johannesburg. Rooted in the theme Safe Spaces, Safe Lives, the festival positions dance as a powerful tool for expression, dialogue, healing, and social transformation. The 2026 edition brings together an exceptional local and international programme featuring professional dance and circus companies, choreographers, and creative leaders from South Africa, Sweden, Mozambique, Madagascar, France, and Germany. The French Alliance of Johannesburg will host the festival on 5 March 2026, presenting strong female works by Teresa Phuti and Julia Burnham.
