ABOUT
The Blurry Festival is a student-focused film festival created by Max Fouchee to give emerging filmmakers a safe, welcoming space to release their films for the first time and to their immediate community. It exists for students and first-time filmmakers who want to share their work without the pressure or competitiveness often associated with traditional film festivals.
The festival, held at KAYA Café, is designed as an intimate screening experience creating a close, supportive environment for filmmakers and audiences to connect. Serving as a bridge between film school and the wider industry, The Blurry Festival offers a first step into public exhibition, networking, and creative confidence. Whether you’re submitting a film or attending a screening, you’re part of a community that believes every filmmaker deserves a first audience.
