Kingsmead College, by arrangement with DALRO (PTY) Limited, proudly presents Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical — a high-energy, heartwarming production bursting with unforgettable songs, larger-than-life characters, and the magic of storytelling.

Based on Roald Dahl’s beloved story, Matilda The Musical follows the extraordinary Matilda Wormwood — a brilliantly clever girl with a fierce imagination, unusual abilities, and a deep hunger for learning. Stuck with her loud, neglectful (and not always lawful!) parents, Matilda receives little love at home and instead creates her own world filled with stories, courage, and justice.

When she arrives at her new school, Matilda finds kindness in the gentle Miss Honey, but soon comes face to face with the terrifying, child-hating headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. Armed with determination and a sharp sense of right and wrong, Matilda discovers the strength to stand up for herself and for others. Along the way, she teaches the adults in her life more than they ever expected — and begins to uncover the possibility of the loving home she deserves.

Filled with humour, heart, and toe-tapping musical numbers, this award-winning show celebrates the power of imagination, resilience, and believing that even the smallest person can make a very big difference.
