Sunset: 19h38
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a sunset hike on the beautiful trails of Muratie Wine Farm. Enjoy a glass of Muratie Johanna Dry Rosé and relax with your own picnic at the foot of Simonsberg as the sun sets over the Winelands.
The circular hiking route starts and ends at the Dirtopia Trail Centre. The marked trail is approximately 3.5km and leads to a scenic lookout point with spectacular views. The climb includes hand-built steps and takes around 30–45 minutes (or more), so please arrive no later than 18h30 to ensure you reach the top in time.
A glass of Muratie Dry Rosé will be poured on arrival at the picnic area. Bring a blanket to sit on while you enjoy the sunset. A Muratie wine station will be available at the lookout point, where you can enjoy your own picnic. Extra wine (red or white) will be available for purchase — card or cash accepted.
