An Evening with Special Agent Galactica

Get ready for a night like no other! We’ve got not one but two shows happening on the same evening.

We kick things off with Special Agent Galactica lip syncing her way through A LADY AND (other people's) MUSIC. After the interval, get ready for some incredible live music with MORE THAN JUST LIPS. This promises to be an ex-DRAG-vaganza not to be missed!

Special Agent Galactica, the pink-haired creation of Jeffrey Johnson (Little Shop of Horrors), makes her South African debut right here, at the Masque!

A LADY AND (other people's) MUSIC is a lip sync “tour de force”, according to the Washington City Paper. It’s a whimsical, music-filled romp through Earth’s songbook delivered in a way that only Special Agent Galactica can. Long before Lip Sync Battle was even a concept, Galactica has been slaying theatre audiences with her precision, wit, timing and talent.

MORE THAN JUST LIPS is a powerhouse live music set from Galactica and her band, Captain Satellite and the Escape Pods - and featuring her backup singers, the Space Cadettes. Audiences can expect a great selection of music ranging from Elton John to Bessie Smith. George Michael to Justin Timberlake. Bernadette Peters to Billie Holliday. And in case you were wondering, Captain Satellite is John McGuiness (Little Shop of Horrors). Oh and the Space Cadettes - you might recognise them too from our sci-fi musical romp last year (two Audreys and the Dentist).

THINGS TO KNOW:

* Please arrive on time - no entry is allowed after the show starts. Latecomers will be admitted at interval only.

* Children must have their own seat - no sitting on laps.

* No outside food or drinks are allowed. Refreshments are available for purchase inside.

* You're welcome to take food and drinks into the theatre, but please return your glasses to the bar afterward.

* No flash photography or videography is permitted during the performance.

* Free secure parking is available just 50 meters past the theatre (next to the Woodshop). The lot closes 30 minutes after the show ends. Please avoid parking in residential roads to keep access clear for local residents.
