Emergent visions: Dinner with the artists

Join us for an intimate evening of art & food.

The event will start with a walk about of the exhibition "Emergent Visions" (see the catalogue here). In this group exhibition, six distinctive yet interconnected artistic voices—Alpheus Ngoepe, Bekezela Mabena, Nwabisa Ntlokowana, Mpho Machate and Khotso Motsoeneng—gather to imagine what lies just beyond perception. Their works move between the personal and the collective, the visible and the invisible, the dreamt and the not-yet-dreamed. Together, they open portals to unseen, undreamt possibilities.

• Alpheus Ngoepe explores the intersection of emotion and colour, revealing how structure and intuition can together trace psychological and spiritual terrains.
• Bekezela Mabena works with material memory, fusing craft and ancestry to uncover what remains unseen in acts of making.
• Nwabisa Ntlokowana reflects on visibility—who comes into focus, who remains blurred—and how power and tenderness shape that gaze.
• Mpho Machate interlaces the organic and constructed, opening microcosms of transformation where roots, migration, and home reconfigure each other.
• Khotso Motsoeneng channels energy and flux—urban pulse, rural rhythm, personal myth—into visual languages of becoming.

Together they create a constellation of potential: distinct stars illuminating unseen relations and undreamt alignments.

After the walkabout, join artists Alpheus Ngoepe, Nwabisa Ntlokowana, and Khotso Motsoeneng for dinner, getting insights into their work and inspirations.
