Groove Biennale III

Groove Biennale III, will be held across Johannesburg, South Africa during the last weekend of April, from Wednesday 22 April until Wednesday 29 April 2026. Presented by DORMANTYOUTH in collaboration with Pro Helvetia, the third edition of this music and architecture festival’s programming continues to celebrate alternative nightlife creative scenes that originate, find home, or grow in Johannesburg.

Supported by Pro Helvetia's Circuit Mixers programme, Groove Biennale III packs a few more punches with even more networking events and skill sharing opportunities on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Monday. We'd love to see you at our ballroom masterclass, panel discussion, music workshops, and at speed dating, all nestled between Carfax (Newtown), Luxee Lounge (Maboneng), and Flame Studios (Braamfontein). The festival continues to promote inclusivity in both identity and music genre, employing experimental interdisciplinary design to engage the city's youth culture and nightlife.
