ABOUT
A Million O’Clock is a South African–Swiss jazz collective led by Swiss saxophonist Benedikt Reising, blending South African musical sensibilities with European jazz aesthetics. Their music is spacious, lyrical, and deeply improvised, rooted in tradition yet open and exploratory.
On Sunday, 15 February, the band presents the final show of their South African tour at Jazz in the Native Yards (Lerotholi Gallery, Langa), featuring Shane Cooper on bass, Paul Amereller on drums and special guest Reza Khota on guitar. With guitar stepping in for piano, the music opens into new textures and possibilities.
A Million O’Clock is a living, evolving project shaped by many faces and moments. For our show at Native Yards, Reza Khota joins us in place of Thandi Ntuli. Guitar steps in for piano, but more importantly, we welcome a dear friend who shares our belief in music as a way to build connection beyond borders.
