Zenzele is a bassist and composer from Cape Town. Currently based in the Amsterdam Netherlands, Zenzele is rising young voice in the European improv and jazz scene. Currently studying jazz bass at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he blends traditional South African rhythms—such as kwela, maskandi, and township jive—with contemporary influences from jazz, hip-hop, gospel, and house. Zenzele will be showcasing his debut album 'Future Kwela’. With energetic live shows and genre-blending sounds, Zenzele and his talented band bring a fresh new sound to the Cape Town music scene.
