Pianist, composer, and singer Thandi Ntuli returns to The Basement to kick off our 2026 live music calendar, presented by Untitled Basement.

Following last year’s intimate and sold-out Piano & Voice performance, this special return sees her expanding her sonic palette to incorporate synthesizers and experimental sounds into an immersive live set.

A piano virtuoso and no stranger to electronic sounds, Thandi Ntuli’s fluid, poetic approach unfolds across her discography. Songs like “Secret Keeper” from BLK Elijah & The Children of Meroe reveal her expressive command of electronic sound. In her fourth studio album, Rainbow Revisited, she moves seamlessly between piano, synthesizer, and tongo, singing and playing in equal measure.

No two Thandi Ntuli performances are ever the same. Expect enchanting arrangements, poetic vocals, and an unforgettable evening.
