What is The Swap Shop by Crybaby Craft Club?

Swap Shop by Crybaby Craft Club is Johannesburg’s first event of its kind. It is a community-driven, sustainable swap and shop experience where people come together to trade pre-loved items and connect in a fun, creative space. Hosted by Crybaby.Thrift, the event celebrates thrift culture, personal style, creativity, and conscious consumption, encouraging people to keep fashion and goods circulating instead of going to waste.

At the heart of this event is connection, sustainability, and good energy. Instead of buying and selling in the traditional sense, attendees can exchange items directly with one another. This allows unused pieces to find new homes while creating a shared and interactive shopping experience. The only thing on sale? Samoosas, wine, and gourmet cookies from our x3 local vendors!

How It Works

• R100 entry allows you to bring in 10 items to swap and take 10 items out.
• R200 entry allows you to bring in 20 items to swap and take 20 items out.
• R300 entry allows you to bring in 30 items to swap and take 30 items out.

This is not a sales market. No items are for sale or may be sold between attendees. The focus is purely on swapping and community exchange.

On Site Treats

While no items are sold at the swap, guests can enjoy cookies, samoosas, and a wine bar throughout the evening.
