May Corset Making Workshop

Learn the art of corset making in a two-day hands-on workshop with South Africa's top professional corsetier. Over two days @velvetletter will teach you how to sew corsets with confidence, giving you the skills to create your own custom corset for shape wear, festival or cosplay outfits.

What the course includes:

All materials needed to make yourself a classic underbust corset (choice of classic black or dyeable white).

A custom underbust corset pattern based on my popular in-house pattern that is comfy but still brings the drama.

Coaching on how to prep your materials and make your corset from start to finish, with notes to take home.

Full resource list for sourcing materials, patterns and further learning materials.

Experience level: The course is suitable for anyone with basic sewing ability. If you know how to operate a sewing machine and can sew a straight line then you can make a corset.

I recommend that you bring your own sewing machine to work on, but I do have limited spare machines available if you don't have access to one.

Workshops are limited to 5-6 participants and are held at my home in Bellville.
