About Shawn
The Roasted Dad is a MasterChef South Africa winner and Cape Town–based food creative who began his journey sharing recipes online before growing into a celebrated culinary brand. Known for dynamic pop-ups, cooking demos, and high-profile collaborations, he brings approachable, flavour-forward cooking to events, brand partnerships, and memorable food experiences across South Africa.

You’ll be welcomed with a cocktail and canapés on arrival, and make a million-dollar mac & cheese with a cowboy butter plankie steak. To end off the night on a sweet note, Shawn will serve his famous malva pudding that got him to win the MasterChef finals.
